As of Monday, NSW will take its first steps towards reopening as the State has passed the 70 per cent double vaccination target.

In line with NSW Public Health Orders, proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required upon entry to the Corowa Aquatic Centre from Monday 11 October.

The changes will be introduced as part of the Reopening NSW roadmap, as the State reaches its 70% COVID double vaccination target.

To minimise the risk of Covid spreading, entry to the Corowa Aquatic Centre will only be permitted for members of the community who are fully vaccinated.

Corowa Aquatic Centre's Duty Officer of Public Pools, Jo Laws said the aquatic team were confident in their Covid Safe Management Practices and requested all Aquatic Centre users and patrons to continue to work with the team to make sure restrictions were being met.

“Our users are not shy to Covid restrictions, they have been great in supporting us to meet our Covid Safe Management requirements in the past and we know they will do it again,” she said.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all users for their continued support, we really appreciate it. We ask all patrons that they continue to be kind and respectful to our staff, as we work through these challenging times together.”

With the first vaccination milestone being reached, the NSW Government is also easing a number of restrictions as part of the Reopening NSW roadmap, which will allow fully vaccinated adults to enjoy more freedoms from next Monday, October 11. Please see the full media release with further details from the NSW State Government on the reopening plan.
