We would like to take this opportunity to thank Managing Director Craig Waldron and the team from Waldron’s Fresh on River & Liquor for their incredible donation of $2,336.46 to our Aquatic Centre.

This money was raised through the IGA Community Chest Program.

The IGA Community Chest raises funds to support local communities, charities and other worthwhile causes. It could be in response to a major event like floods or bush fires or something as simple as new soccer balls for the local under 8’s.

The money is raised in a number of ways but predominantly through the purchase of products with an IGA Community Chest logo on the label or ticket. When you purchase a product with the IGA Community Chest logo printed on the label a percentage is credited to that store’s IGA Community Chest account.

This donation was used directly to partially subsidize the cost of swimming lessons for close to 400 Learn to Swim students for one week during term one of our program.

Thank you Craig and the team – we appreciate your support and so do our families!
